"Gold Park made our wedding bands using inherited gold from both of our families.
My fiance and I liked the idea of combining our heirloom gold and reusing it to make matching wedding bands. We had a broken gold bangle that I had inherited from my Grandma and a couple of sovereign coins from my fiance’s family.
The sovereigns were 22ct and the gold bangle was 18ct. We understood that when we mixed the gold it would be hallmarked at the lower carat and were happy with that. To us, the sentimental provenance of the rings was what we valued most highly.
We love the way that the gold being fused together symbolises how we have chosen to be bound together in marriage."
